Pai My Way Hostel, Mahongson

The hostel is close to the walking street, close to 7/11 as well, they have a garden (tho it needs more maintenance) but you can hangout there. Beds are nice, but the thing is the toilet are just a few meters away so you really have to walk before you can pee or something. Overall it was a nice stay.

A wonderful hostel — I booked it for 3 nights and ended up extending my stay to a full 7 days!
The location is excellent: just a 2-minute walk from the heart of Walking Street, right across from a 7/11, yet still quiet and away from the crowds. There are several very affordable laundries directly across from the hostel, and right next door on the left there’s a great massage place that I went to several times.

As for the hostel itself, the beds are very wide, with enough space to store your belongings inside the pod if you want. There is strong air conditioning, power outlets, and a bedside light. Regarding towels, I wasn’t completely sure if they are provided for free, but I did receive one when I asked, as mine got dirty.

The bathrooms and showers are decent — it’s one room with a shower and toilet, and the sink is outside, which I personally found fine. However, during my first few days they weren’t very clean and there was no toilet paper for quite a long time. After I was moved to another section of the hostel, this improved.

The hostel also has motorcycle parking, a grassy area, and plenty of places to sit and relax during the day, which is really nice and helps a bit with meeting people. While I wouldn’t define it as a very social hostel, I still met many lovely people there, and the owner was wonderful and made sure we stayed together in the same room.

Overall, despite a few minor downsides, I highly recommend this hostel — it offers excellent value for money.

I came to Pai with no plan and one night booked at Pai my way. I ended up staying at Pai my way for 10 nights and had an absolutely amazing time.

The host Emily is truly a great person. She is so kind, funny and caring. She made sure that I stayed active and would tell me what things would be best to book on what days.

20/10 would definitely recommend!

So cute! They need to promote they have a pool as I didn’t know! Felt very safe here. Also they should promote the cafe/ bar more. It could be fantastic with just a little push. But in a great location with lovely open space

The place is nice, in front there is a bar that plays live music and from the room you can hear everything so if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not the place. Very friendly staff, they gave me towels and it was clean. I slept in the single bed room

Emily was an amazing host, she really tries to help you. She made the stay for us great. Good location but bars with music playing late next door. Thankyou from Joshua, Billy and Irie who stayed in December.

Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights and it was such an amazing experience. The woman who runs it was so friendly and kind and helped you in any way you needed. The atmosphere is very peaceful and friendly and I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you for the lovely experience :)

I came a little late in the evening, and the owner was friendly.
The room is quiet.
If you're lucky, the other hostels are really noisy.
I'm satisfied.

Advantages: Friendly treatment.
A bit noisy in the evening but surprisingly quiet during the night despite the central location. I was helped to book a bus back to Chiang Mai, which was impossible online 🙏 🏼

Spacious and comfortable beds. Garden is big and catches the sun nicely. Very chilled hostel and not a party hostel at all. But still good to socialize on the balcony and garden.

I would definitely recommend our hostel in Pai! It is located in a beautiful part of the city where you can enjoy the beautiful nature and the relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are cozy and clean, and there is a great opportunity to meet other travelers.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they can give you great tips on what to see and do in the area. We also have some fun activities and events so you can get a taste of the local culture.

If you are looking for a place to relax after a day of exploring, while meeting nye people, then our hostel is a perfect choice. Come by and experience it for yourself!

Very nice hostel, located very close to Walking Street. The beds are big and there are curtains. Both bathroom facilities and a refrigerator are available. The host is really nice and helpful both with rental of scooters and tours. We had a really good stay and would love to come again.

Emily is an amazing Thai Lady. Ask her anything and she will help. Home from Home feeling. All the staff are very friendly and polite. Everything on doorstep for provisions of all kinds. Clean. Spacious gardens with several trees that host butterflies which is awesome to watch. Safe secure. Parking for bikes. Great place in the pai valley, thank you so much 😊
